Last April 1, 2025, we inaugurated our new waiting room at our headquarters in Florence's Independence Square.
A moment of sharing and reflection that marked the beginning of a path of renewal, respecting our history and with an eye toward the future.
We chose to start with the spaces dedicated to reception, to make the time spent inside the Institute even more comfortable.
Places that are not only functional, but express what we want to continue to be: a constant presence next to the need, in the heart of our territory.
This intervention is part of a progressive restructuring that puts the person at the center and promotes wellness ecosystems: environments designed to accompany each patient along a conscious and lasting health journey.
We also wanted to recall the words spoken by Giorgio La Pira, on a visit to the Fanfani Institute on May 18, 1967, when he called these spaces "a concentration of beauty, health and life."
Years later, that vision continues to inspire our choices.
During the inauguration, we celebrated the plurality of stories, the inclusiveness of differences, and the value of appreciating oneself as a singularity within a community.
We also renewed our connection with sports, seen as a symbol of freedom, commitment, and complete well-being-physical, mental, and social.
The event was attended by patients, professionals, partners and friends of the Institute, as well as Sandra Leoncini representing Savino Del Bene, our Health Partner, and Jacopo Vicini, Florence's Development Councillor.
A simple but meaningful moment to celebrate a new beginning together.
